ABOUT
Lady Power, formerly known as Katie Power is a St. John’s–based singer-songwriter whose music blends soul, reggae warmth, and contemporary pop, with groove at the centre of every song. Her songwriting carries raw realness and heartfelt truth, balancing vulnerability with strength while moving listeners with every beat.
With over twenty years of creative practice, Katie’s journey was shaped by singing from a young age, self-taught guitar, and later emerging as a singer-songwriter and community-based music facilitator. In 2015, she expanded into recording and live performance. Audiences are captivated, drawn in, and moved by the heartfelt energy she brings to every performance. She has appeared on Rogers TV and NTV’s Remarkable People, performed alongside other local talent, and featured in Afro-pop releases during the pandemic.
Her debut album Believe (2018) toured provincially and continues to stream nationally. She released the single Tired in 2025 and is now working with Hurricane Music on her album Lost in the Mix, a vibrant project sharing her heartfelt expression and energy, which she plans to tour locally, across Canada, and internationally.
